Greetings…

Thanks in advance for taking a look at this website.

Nearly five years have zipped by since the premiere of On the Fringe at the Strand Theatre in Dover, NH. It was a chilly night, Wed. the 5th of December, 2001. The cinema was teeming with excitement, jangling with nerves and bursting with energy. I was about to see a 4-year process of indie filmmaking finally take shape on the silver screen in front of a packed house. Cast and crew members, family, friends, and dozens of guests filled the seats, anxious to see the movie and relieved that my “baby” was finally done. Done? Well, at the time I suppose...

It's now 2006 and I just added the finishing touches to the “Special Edition DVD” of On The Fringe (now a toddler). It's never been officially available in this digital format before, so I wanted to make sure it was perfect. Okay, almost perfect. You might be wondering if things have changed. Yes. A little. Is the story different? Not really. So what's “special” about this edition? You'll just have to watch and find out.

However, I will say that after all these years I still find myself chuckling at certain scenes and getting a bit overwhelmed when reflecting on the experience of working with so many fun, talented, and dedicated people. This dream couldn’t be realized on DVD if it weren't for everyone involved. Thank you.

So I guess it’s like having another premiere, only this time a virtual one... and my nerves aren't as jangled. Enjoy the show and get the word out!

Cheers,

Jeff Palmer, Director “On the Fringe”
